SILENCE

Silence is black
In silence I fought madness
Her flaming swords grazed my hairs
Madness, furious madness died at the instance of my sword
In silence, the ghost of madness haunts me still

Silence is black
In silence, the lioness beckoned
Her alluring smiles near bewitching
Her silver coloured eyes irresistible
I refused to be allured
Only to be devoured in silence

Silence is black
In silence the world came to a halt
The timelessness a marvel to behold
For in silence I attained the crescendo
Rejoicing in utter ecstasy
Then came the crash
The pains encapsulated in her emptiness
All in silence

Silence is black
In silence I watched the soldiers come
In silence they cut at us
And the hunger came
Even as the golden dream died
All in silence

Is silence golden?
Yet can it be faulted?
Is silence black
Yet I cry out for light

Alas, silence is golden
To give way to blackness
Silence is black
To cry out for light
